From Senegal to The Gambia – A Warm Welcome & Compliments 🇬🇲
Leaving Dakar behind, I continued south through Senegal toward The Gambia, one of the smallest countries on the African continent.
After the intensity of the capital, the ride gradually returned to smaller towns, roadside villages and a more open landscape.
Dakar Is Pure Chaos And I Loved It | Senegal 🇸🇳
After crossing into Senegal, I continued towards Dakar, leaving the dry and isolated landscapes of Mauritania behind. The change was immediate.
The roads became busier, the surroundings greener and the streets increasingly crowded with cars, buses, motorcycles, pedestrians and roadside activity.

Leaving Mauritania behind, I continued south toward the border with Senegal, ready to begin the next stage of my journey across Africa.
The landscape was still dry and exposed, but the road conditions deteriorated quickly.
