Riding Into Casablanca 🇲🇦. Beautiful, Brutal, Unapologetic

The ride into Casablanca felt different from the Morocco I had experienced so far. Instead of mountain roads, old medinas and quiet coastal towns, I found myself entering a huge, modern city filled with traffic, noise and constant movement.

Riding my Africa Twin through the crowded streets required complete concentration. Cars changed lanes without warning, taxis pushed through every available gap, and motorcycles appeared from all directions. Casablanca had its impressive side, particularly along the coast and around the enormous Hassan II Mosque, but much of the city felt rough, crowded and surprisingly unforgiving.

I continued along the waterfront, passing the lighthouse and watching the Atlantic crash against the coastline. There was beauty here, but it was mixed with concrete, congestion and a sense that the city never really slowed down.

Casablanca was not quite what I had expected. It did not have the charm of Morocco’s older cities, but it showed me another side of the country—modern, intense and unapologetically real. Beautiful in places, brutal in others, and impossible to ignore.

I’ll be documenting this adventure along the way — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africa’s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. I’ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.

So, come along for the ride — the long way through Africa.

Peace!
