Namibia just never stopped delivering.
In this episode, I continue south toward Lüderitz — and what turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of my entire journey through Namibia. The road itself was spectacular, surrounded by the huge open landscapes that made Namibia such an unforgettable part of this African journey.
But arriving in LĂĽderitz brought something completely different: a beautiful little coastal town sitting between the desert and the Atlantic Ocean. I spent some time exploring LĂĽderitz, riding around the coastline and visiting Shark Island, with its dramatic views across the ocean and the surrounding peninsula.
There was something about this part of Namibia that really stayed with me — the empty roads, the desert, the cold Atlantic coastline and the feeling of being somewhere incredibly remote. From the moment I entered Namibia, this country felt different.
The landscapes, the roads, the people and the sheer scale of the place made it one of the biggest highlights of my journey across Africa. And LĂĽderitz felt like the perfect place to bring this chapter to an end.
From here, the journey continues south toward South Africa — and eventually Cape Town.
