Riding Into TOGO 🇹🇬 | The Country Nobody Talks About
After leaving Ghana, I continued east toward Togo, another small but important step in my journey across Africa. Unlike countries such as Mauritania, Guinea or Ghana, where I spent much more time exploring, Togo was mainly a short stop on the route toward the next major chapter of the expedition: Benin.
Crossing into Togo brought another change in atmosphere. The roads became busier and the landscape shifted again, with smaller towns, roadside markets and villages creating a different rhythm from neighbouring Ghana. Even when passing through a country quickly, these small moments along the road often become some of the most memorable parts of the journey.
I continued toward Lomé, the capital of Togo, where I stopped for the night. After many long riding days, border crossings and visa preparations, it was a chance to rest, organise myself and prepare for the next stage of the journey.
Although Togo was only a brief chapter, it still represented another milestone. Every border crossed brought me closer to the heart of Africa, and every country added another layer to the story. From the vast deserts of Mauritania to the tropical coast of West Africa, the journey was constantly changing—and Togo was another small but meaningful piece of that adventure.
The following day, I continued east toward Benin, ready for the next stage of the ride.
I’ll be documenting this adventure along the way — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africa’s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. I’ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.
So, come along for the ride — the long way through Africa.
Peace!
