What My Life REALLY Looks Like, Ghana 🇬🇭 — Real Life Behind a Solo Motorcycle Journey Across Africa

After arriving in Accra, I took a break from the constant movement and showed a completely different side of the journey: what life looks like when the motorcycle is parked and I have a place to call home for a few days.

During my stay in Ghana’s capital, I was based in an incredible villa—far more space than one person travelling alone could ever need. A place designed to host a large group, with multiple rooms, open spaces and all the comforts that feel almost unreal after weeks of sleeping in different hotels, guesthouses and roadside stops across Africa.

I gave a full walkthrough of my temporary “crib” in Accra, showing the contrast between the rough realities of the road and the comfort of having a proper base. After thousands of kilometres on the motorcycle, dealing with heat, bad roads, borders and uncertainty, having a place to rest, organise my gear and simply slow down felt like a luxury.

The video also shows everyday life in Accra. Beyond the motorcycle adventure, travelling through Africa is also about experiencing cities, understanding how people live and seeing the rhythm of daily life. Accra is a city of contrasts—modern areas, busy streets, constant movement and a unique energy that makes it one of West Africa’s most interesting capitals.

The reason for staying longer in Accra was practical as well. I needed time to organise visas for the next major stages of the journey, including Nigeria and Cameroon. These administrative parts of the trip are rarely visible in adventure videos, but they are a crucial part of travelling across multiple countries by motorcycle.

This episode is a reminder that a long-distance expedition is not only about riding every day. There are moments of waiting, planning, recovering and enjoying the places where you stop. Accra became one of those pauses—a chance to experience city life, recharge and prepare for the much more demanding roads ahead.
