This Part of Morocco Feels Like Riding on Mars 🇲🇦
Leaving Agadir behind, I continued south through a completely different side of Morocco. The green valleys and busy coastal towns gradually disappeared, replaced by vast, empty landscapes, rocky plains and long stretches of road cutting through terrain that looked almost extraterrestrial. At times, it genuinely felt like riding across the surface of Mars.
The further I travelled toward Akhfenir, the more isolated the route became. There were fewer towns, fewer vehicles and almost nothing to interrupt the horizon. The scale of the landscape was difficult to capture on camera: endless road, barren hills and the Atlantic appearing occasionally in the distance. It was harsh, exposed and incredibly beautiful.
This stage of the journey was less about landmarks and more about the feeling of moving deeper into the unknown. Morocco was changing quickly around me, and the road south was beginning to feel more remote with every kilometre. It was a quiet but memorable ride—and one of the clearest signs that the real African journey was only just beginning.
I’ll be documenting this adventure along the way — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africa’s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. I’ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.
So, come along for the ride — the long way through Africa.
Peace!
