Angola ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ด Begins Here โ€” A Stunning Ride to the Atlantic Coast

Crossing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo into Angola felt like the beginning of an entirely new chapter in my journey across Africa.

After everything I had just been through in the DRC, the contrast was immediate. The first 30 kilometres still gave me one last reminder of the rough roads I had been dealing with, but then suddenly everything changed โ€” fresh tarmac, open landscapes, tiny villages and long stretches of road disappearing into a part of Angola I knew very little about before arriving.

For the first time in a while, I could simply enjoy the ride again. No fighting through sand, no wondering whether the road ahead would even be passable โ€” just riding south towards the Atlantic coast and taking in some of the most beautiful scenery of the entire journey.

Along the way, I stopped to meet some of the locals and got my first proper glimpse of everyday life in Angola. The country immediately felt different, not just because of the roads, but because of the atmosphere, the landscapes and the sense that I had entered a completely new stage of the trip.

By the end of the day, I reached the small coastal town of Nโ€™zeto, where I found a simple hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. After the intensity of the previous days in the DRC, it was a pretty perfect way to finish my first real day in Angola.

Welcome to the Angola.

Iโ€™ll be documenting this adventure along the way โ€” the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africaโ€™s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. Iโ€™ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.

So, come along for the ride โ€” the long way through Africa.

Peace!
