Into Namibia 🇳🇦 — I Met the Happiest Man in Africa

After leaving Lubango, I finally reached the border with Namibia and crossed into Oshikango — the beginning of a completely new chapter of my journey across Africa.

From the moment I entered Namibia, the change was obvious. The roads, infrastructure and everyday life felt far more modern compared to many of the countries I had travelled through before, while the landscapes became wider, cleaner and almost endless. I spent my first night at a lodge near Oshikango before continuing south towards Windhoek.

The distances in Namibia are huge, and before reaching the capital I had to stop for another night in Otjiwarongo. The next morning, on my way out of town, I pulled into a petrol station to fill up the bike before continuing south.

It was supposed to be a completely normal fuel stop. Instead, I met probably the happiest and nicest man I encountered anywhere during my journey across Africa. His energy, humour and attitude completely changed the mood of the morning and turned a simple petrol stop into one of those unexpected moments you remember long after the journey is over.

This episode is my first real introduction to Namibia — unforgettable landscapes, long open roads, a completely different atmosphere and another reminder that sometimes the best moments on the road are the ones you never plan.

The journey continues towards Windhoek.

I’ll be documenting this adventure along the way — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africa’s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. I’ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.

So, come along for the ride — the long way through Africa.

Peace!
