Congo 🇨🇬 Surprised Me Again — The Ride I’ll Never Forget | My Journey Across Africa

Leaving the forests of northern Congo behind, I continued south towards Brazzaville and eventually Pointe-Noire. What followed was one of the most enjoyable and unexpected rides of my entire journey across Africa.

The road cut through endless green landscapes, small villages and stretches of countryside that seemed to continue forever. Much of the tarmac was surprisingly good, allowing me to relax and enjoy the ride instead of constantly searching for potholes or worrying about what might be waiting around the next corner.

The people made the journey even more memorable. Children waved as I passed, families watched from the roadside, and local sellers approached whenever I stopped, offering fruit, drinks and whatever else they had available. There was a genuine warmth everywhere I went, and every encounter added something to the experience.

Congo had already surprised me several times, but this ride showed me another side of the country entirely. Beautiful scenery, welcoming people and an open road stretching south—easily one of the best rides of my African journey so far.

I’ll be documenting this adventure along the way — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you want to ride with me through Africa’s deserts, mountains, chaos, and calm, you can follow the journey on Instagram, and TikTok. I’ll be sharing stories from the road, raw moments, and the reality behind chasing freedom on two wheels.

So, come along for the ride — the long way through Africa.

Peace!
